Manchester-based Shipster has played a pivotal role in helping 2tall, Peter Crouch’s favorite clothing brand, scale new heights in its journey.
2tall, the innovative clothing brand catering to tall men, is now set for international expansion following its partnership with shipping software company, Shipster.
The Aberdeen-based eCommerce retailer has invested in cutting-edge technology to digitalize its warehouse management and shipping processes. This upgrade has resulted in faster, more accurate, and cost-effective order fulfillment.
At the heart of this transformation is the implementation of Shipster, the custom shipping integration platform from Manchester. Shipster connects online retailers, eCommerce warehouses, and distributors with over 100 couriers, warehouse management systems, and sales platforms such as Shopify.
This strategic move has allowed 2tall to automate its pick-to-ship process, boosting both efficiency and productivity. As a result, the company has seen increased profits and greater operational flexibility for future growth.
The benefits of this partnership became clear during Black Friday 2024, the first to utilize the new platform. 2tall managed to dispatch over twice the number of orders compared to its previous system.
J.J. Warwick, Managing Director of 2tall, commented on the collaboration: “We’ve always been a solution for a problem tall men face. Our goal has always been to make life easier for guys who are often overlooked by traditional retailers, as well as big and tall stores that focus more on ‘big’ than ‘tall and slim.’
“As we grew, managing fulfillment and shipping was consuming too much of our time. Partnering with Shipster has been a game-changer, allowing us to focus on what we do best – designing great clothes – while they manage the logistics.”
Since its inception in 2013, 2tall has revolutionized the fashion industry by offering stylish, high-quality, and well-fitting clothes for tall men. The brand has garnered endorsements from figures such as ex-footballer Peter Crouch and professional athletes like Kieron Achara, a former British basketball player, and Chris Gregory, a Commonwealth beach volleyball athlete.
As international demand grew, however, the company’s previous systems struggled to meet the increasing workload, resulting in inefficiencies, rising costs, and more frequent errors. Co-founders J.J. Warwick and Andrew Burr recognized the need to overhaul their logistics infrastructure in order to scale effectively.
The new technology stack has drastically reduced dispatch times and enabled the company to process a higher volume of orders with speed and precision.
By automating manual tasks through barcode scanning and setting up automated shipping rules, 2tall has minimized human error and ensured that customers consistently receive the correct products. This shift has led to both improved accuracy and enhanced operational efficiency.
Shipster’s dynamic shipping algorithms now allow 2tall to automatically choose the most cost-effective carriers based on factors like weight, destination, and parcel type. This has resulted in substantial savings on shipping costs and reduced expenses related to reshipping errors. The platform’s automated rules also ensure that all staff can dispatch orders without needing in-depth knowledge of which shipping services to use.
The flexibility of Shipster’s licensing model is another advantage for 2tall, allowing them to add or remove licenses or couriers based on demand fluctuations, making it easier to handle both peak and off-peak periods.
Tony Cheetham, Founder and Managing Director of Shipster, expressed his excitement: “2tall exemplifies a company whose mission is in full force. Today’s retailers require solutions that are not only efficient but also scalable and adaptable. We are thrilled to support 2tall as they continue to redefine tall men’s fashion. Their success demonstrates how powerful technology can drive business transformation and growth in an increasingly competitive global market.”
