Over 200 brands and companies will participate in the seven-day 2025 Autumn/Winter edition of Shanghai Fashion Week, with international participants accounting for more than half of the total.
Among the foreign debutants are Italian luxury brand Lorena Antoniazzi, Vietnamese fashion label LSOUL, UK’s high-end womenswear brand Marchesa, and the US’s timeless style brand Auteur. The event, opening on March 25, will transform Shanghai into a global fashion innovation hub.
Chinese traditional fashion brand Ep Yaying will lead the opening show at the iconic Xintiandi venue, merging cultural heritage with advanced technology. US sportswear giant Nike will host the closing event, celebrating the strength of women in running and athletics.
This year’s Shanghai Fashion Week will feature several tech-driven innovations, including the debut of the humanoid robot G1 by Chinese startup Unitree Robotics. Independent designer Nmtg will also unveil a cyberpunk horse installation in collaboration with multiple artists, exploring futuristic human-machine interaction.
The Walt Disney Company’s Chinese division, alongside 10 local brands, will present a first-of-its-kind fashion show inspired by the US entertainment giant’s iconic Toy Story franchise. Additionally, a themed fashion exhibition will be held at Zhang Yuan, a historic 141-year-old local architectural complex, from March 28 to April 8.
Various events, including forums, summits, and the Asia sustainable fashion competition, will also take place during the Autumn/Winter Shanghai Fashion Week, offering numerous fashion-related activities for attendees.
