Denim has been the center of attention in the fashion world ever since Kendrick Lamar wore a striking pair of boot-cut Celine jeans during his Super Bowl performance.
With the season of layered dressing approaching as temperatures begin to drop, Australian fashion designer Rebecca Vallance has unveiled her debut denim collection. The timing couldn’t be more perfect.
Vallance embraced the fabric’s natural versatility, creating pieces that are perfect for any occasion. The collection features modern silhouettes that align with the brand’s sophisticated style. From straight-leg jeans to cocoon-sleeve tailoring and cinched-waist dresses, the pieces are priced between $329 and $599.
“The inspiration behind this new denim collection comes from the modern-day muse—the woman who exudes true style and sophistication. She embodies effortless elegance,” Vallance shares with The West Australian.
“It was important for me to ensure each piece strikes the perfect balance of structure, comfort, and modern femininity. For this first drop, we drew influence from a strong contemporary aesthetic with a touch of 70s nostalgia.”
The campaign stars Perth’s very own Lulu Wood, a supermodel who has risen from Perth to Paris and is now one of the most sought-after models in international magazines and high-end runway shows.
When it comes to styling denim, Vallance emphasizes the importance of achieving the perfect tailored fit.
“My top styling tip is ensuring the length of your jeans is just right to complement your footwear. With flared jeans, the cuff should sit over the shoe but not be too long, so the flare hangs perfectly. With boot-cut jeans, you can experiment with the length a bit more,” she advises.
