In a significant leadership change within the fashion house of Carven, Mark Thomas has been appointed as the new director of design. This appointment comes in the wake of Louise Trotter’s departure in January, when she left to join Bottega Veneta.
Thomas, who joined Carven in 2023 as a senior designer, has had an integral role in the brand’s revival efforts. During his tenure, he worked closely with Trotter under the ownership of the Franco – Chinese fashion group ICCF Group (Icicle Carven China France). Their combined efforts were aimed at breathing new life into the storied brand, which has a rich history in the fashion industry.
As the new director, Thomas will be tasked with building on the momentum that he and Trotter helped to create. His previous experience at Carven, where he was involved in various design projects, gives him an in – depth understanding of the brand’s aesthetic and customer base. With this promotion, he steps into a key position that will shape Carven’s future collections and design direction.
Industry observers are eager to see how Thomas will put his own stamp on the brand. His vision and design sensibilities could potentially lead to a fresh chapter for Carven, both in terms of its product offerings and its standing in the highly competitive global fashion market. This leadership transition also marks a new phase for the ICCF Group, as they continue to support and grow the Carven brand under Thomas’ creative guidance.
