Amira Al-Zuhair and Arab Models Shine at Paris Fashion Week, Stealing the Spotlight at Zimmermann and Louis Vuitton

by Demos

Amira Al-Zuhair took to the runway at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing a sleeveless, fitted dress adorned with draped, ruched details that brought fluidity and movement to the design. She completed the look with strappy brown leather sandals and gold accessories, including chandelier earrings and bracelets.

Also joining her was British-Moroccan model Nora Attal, who graced the runway in a flowing cream-colored gown with a high neckline and long, billowy sleeves. The gown’s fitted bodice seamlessly transitioned into a pleated, floor-length skirt.

Al-Zuhair and Attal were among several Arab models making waves at Paris Fashion Week. French-Algerian model Loli Bahia walked for Louis Vuitton on Monday, wearing an outfit that combined relaxed and structured elements.

Bahia wore an oversized coral turtleneck sweater with asymmetrical metallic embellishments, paired with loose-fitting, high-waisted brown trousers. The look was completed with a coordinating brown coat featuring a checkerboard-patterned pocket detail.

The Louis Vuitton show took place at the “L’Étoile du Nord” venue, which the brand described as “a hidden station where past and future travelers converge, evoking the golden age of railway adventure.” This historic building, constructed in 1845 for the Compagnie du Nord railway company, was transformed into a grand train station waiting room for the ready-to-wear display, reinforcing themes of travel, anticipation, and adventure, as noted by the show’s program.

Designer Nicolas Ghesquière, known for his cinematic approach to fashion, used the runway to tell a story of both real and imagined train stations, styling his passengers for unknown journeys. Models portrayed various characters such as detectives in trench coats, campers in bulky New Wave sweaters, and party girls rushing to catch the last train in ruched velvet.

Among the standout pieces was a voluminous, cascading layered tulle skirt in deep fuchsia, which embodied Ghesquière’s ability to blend different historical styles. The skirt was paired with a contemporary architectural knit top, complemented by futuristic slicked-back hair.

The show was attended by a star-studded front row, with A-list celebrities such as Emma Stone, Jennifer Connelly, Ana de Armas, Chloë Grace Moretz, Lisa, Jaden Smith, Ava DuVernay, and Sophie Turner.
