Lagos-based Afrocentric streetwear brand, Ennie Wears, has introduced its latest collection, ÒBÌNRÍN: Stories of HER, in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2025. Drawing inspiration from the resilience and strength of African women, the collection showcases a bold kimono and pant set crafted from a blend of Aṣọ-Òkè and urban fabrics.
At the core of the design lies a striking artistic print depicting an African woman’s face, encircled by words such as “strength,” “trailblazer,” and “resilient,” emphasizing a message of empowerment. Eniola Robert, Founder and Creative Director of Ennie Wears, described the collection as more than just a fashion statement, but rather a movement.
“ÒBÌNRÍN is about storytelling, empowerment, and redefining the way women are perceived in fashion. Through this piece, the aim is to amplify the voices of women and remind them that they are strong, bold, and unstoppable,” she stated.
Beyond aesthetics, Ennie Wears is leveraging the collection for social impact, allocating 20% of the proceeds to the ‘Clothe the Street’ initiative, which provides clothing and essential items to underserved communities.
Since its launch on March 8, ÒBÌNRÍN: Stories of HER has continued to garner attention, resonating with women who view fashion as a medium for self-expression and empowerment.
