From stopping strikers on the football field to running a nasi padang stall, it seems there’s nothing Hassan Sunny can’t do. Now, the 40-year-old footballer has ventured into the fashion world with his latest business endeavor.
On February 6, Hassan made the exciting announcement on his Instagram, introducing his new clothing brand, Has & Co.
“Hey everyone, I’m beyond excited to introduce you to my new clothing brand, Has & Co,” he said in the video.
Has & Co had a booth at the Fomo Weekend Market—a lifestyle flea market showcasing local small businesses—on February 8 and 9, where Hassan greeted fans and promoted his new brand.
As for the type of clothing Has & Co offers, think casual and minimalistic. While the brand’s Instagram page doesn’t reveal the full collection, it’s known to feature items like jumpers, hoodies, and T-shirts.
“I’m not the type to wear patterned clothes, bright colors, or designs that are too outlandish. By maintaining simplicity and a minimalist concept, everyone, young and old, can appreciate the style of the brand,” Hassan shared with Berita Harian.
The publication also noted that the collection includes sizes ranging from children’s sizes to an adult 6XL, with prices between $20 and $80.
AsiaOne has reached out to Hassan for further details about his new business venture.
In October 2020, Hassan opened his nasi padang hawker stall, Dapur Hassan (meaning Hassan’s kitchen), while still playing football professionally. Located in Tampines, the stall offers Malay classics like lontong, nasi lemak, and mee rebus.
Following his heroic performance for Singapore in a World Cup qualifier match against Thailand last June, Hassan received an outpouring of support from Chinese fans, many of whom visited his stall to show their appreciation.
