The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has released the preliminary schedule for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) for the fall/winter 2025 season. The event will kick off on February 6 with a performance by Brandon Maxwell and conclude on February 11 with a runway show by Thom Browne, the chairman of the CFDA.
Over 52 runway shows and designer conferences are set to take place, with additional collections available by appointment and online. NYFW veterans such as Luar, Christian Siriano, Coach, Collina Strada, Lafayette 148, and Anna Sui are expected to occupy a significant portion of the schedule.
This season will also see the return of established brands like Altuzarra and Calvin Klein Collection, now under new creative direction. Additionally, several designers making a comeback after a hiatus include Theory, Lapointe, Christopher John Rogers, and Fforme.
New names on the schedule include Leblancstudios by Yamil Arbaje, Alexis Bittar, Gabe Gordon, Angelo Beato, Vetesse, and Zeo Gustavia Anna Whalen.
While Bode is not included in the schedule, the CFDA announced that Emily Adams Bode Aujla, the brand’s designer, will present the 2025 Bod Rec collection during a livestreamed red carpet event at the GQ Bowl in New Orleans.
Joseph Maglieri, the CFDA’s director of fashion week initiatives, stated that this season would emphasize the “importance of brand sovereignty and stamina” while addressing key topics in the industry, such as “calibration and innovation.”
