The countdown has begun for the Autumn/Winter 2025/26 edition of Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), set to take place at Dubai Design District (d3) from February 1 to 6, 2025. The event will once again kick off the global fashion calendar, just ahead of New York Fashion Week, setting the tone for the Autumn/Winter 2025 season.
Co-founded by d3, a global creative ecosystem under TECOM Group PJSC, and the Arab Fashion Council, DFW continues to blend innovation and cultural diversity on the runway. This upcoming edition will feature over 25 exceptional brands from countries including France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Palestine, Russia, the UAE, and the UK. These brands will present a dynamic mix of ready-to-wear and haute couture collections.
The official fashion week of Dubai will expand beyond the d3 venue with a full schedule of exclusive presentations, private dinners, and collection launches hosted by global brands and industry leaders. Attendees can also look forward to special showcases from renowned guest designers.
Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of Dubai Design District (d3), part of TECOM Group PJSC, shared her excitement for the upcoming season: “We’re proud to once again begin the Autumn/Winter season with Dubai Fashion Week in early February. Our focus remains on nurturing incredible talent, and we’re excited to launch our new Buyers Programme for 2025, which aims to connect visionary designers with influential buyers. This platform not only supports creativity but also fosters business opportunities, contributing to Dubai’s and the region’s growing influence in the global fashion industry and creative economy.”
The previous season of DFW wrapped up in style, with the iconic Italian luxury brand Roberto Cavalli closing the Spring/Summer 2025 showcase. The event featured sold-out shows every night, highlighting the strong global interest in DFW. Industry leaders, celebrities, influencers, and media from around the world attended the event, solidifying DFW’s reputation as a key platform in the fashion world.
The new Buyers Programme aims to elevate designers to international prominence by connecting them with global buyers. This exclusive programme offers buyers and retailers direct access to a curated selection of talent, cutting-edge collections, and exclusive sourcing opportunities. Designers will have the chance to build valuable connections and gain exposure in new markets.
Mohammed Aqra, Chief Strategy Officer of the Arab Fashion Council, explained, “The launch of the Buyer’s Programme is a significant step forward in growing the region’s fashion industry and boosting its economic impact. Our goal is to empower designers to succeed by connecting them with the right buyers, enabling sustainable business growth and enhancing the global presence of Arab fashion.”
Designers interested in participating in the Buyers Programme can apply online until December 22, 2024. Selected designers will be notified by early January 2025. The rigorous selection process ensures that only the most innovative and market-ready brands are included.
DFW is renowned not only for showcasing exceptional collections from both emerging and established designers but also for its hands-on approach to advancing designers’ careers. The 2025 Buyers Programme aims to provide a world-class platform where designers can showcase their latest collections while offering buyers access to exclusive, curated talent.
