Georgia Amoore and the 16th-ranked Kentucky women’s basketball team have been delivering impressive performances throughout the 2024-25 season, and their campaign just got even better with a generous gift from hip-hop artist Drake.
On Thursday, Kentucky’s Instagram account shared a post showing the team wearing apparel from Nocta, Drake’s clothing brand, which gifted the program gear valued at $250 million. The post included a heartfelt message of gratitude: “Thank you, @champagnepapi and @officialnocta, for the gear.”
The Wildcats have been on an outstanding run this season, holding an 11-1 record with a four-game winning streak. After a tough 72-53 loss to then-No. 16 North Carolina on December 5, they bounced back strongly, scoring over 80 points in each of their last four games.
Their remarkable consistency has kept them firmly in the AP Top 25, maintaining their 16th-place ranking. Teams ahead of them include Duke and Tennessee, while North Carolina and West Virginia sit just behind.
Kentucky has been dominant on both offense and defense this season. Offensively, they average 78.4 points per game, shooting 45.7% from the field and 29.6% from beyond the arc, with a commanding margin of victory of 21.3 points per game. On defense, they hold opponents to 57.1 points per game on 33.5% shooting and 24.9% from three-point range.
Their excellence is further highlighted by their exceptional rebounding, ball movement, and shot-blocking. The Wildcats grab 42.3 rebounds, dish out 19.9 assists, and average 7.8 blocks per game, ranking as the best shot-blocking team in the nation.
