TravisMathew, the California-inspired apparel brand, is set to open its first Washington state store at Bellevue Square. A building application submitted to the City of Bellevue reveals that the new store will take over the 2,925 square foot space previously occupied by Timberland on the second floor, with plans for an interior remodel.
This new location will be TravisMathew’s first in Washington, adding to its impressive portfolio of nearly 60 stores across the United States. The expansion reflects the brand’s continued growth, fueled by its strong presence in the golf and activewear markets.
TravisMathew is on track to open five more stores in 2024, bringing the total to 57 locations by the year’s end, according to Chip Brewer, President and CEO of TopGolf Callaway Brands, which acquired TravisMathew in 2017.
The brand, which debuted in 2007, offers a range of men’s and women’s apparel inspired by Southern California’s surf, sand, and sun lifestyle. Known for its modern designs and premium fabrics, TravisMathew’s stylish yet comfortable clothing has made a name for itself in the golf and leisure wear segments.
In 2022, the brand introduced women’s apparel, which has gained significant traction, now accounting for nearly 10% of the company’s revenue.
The Bellevue Square space, which previously housed Timberland, was reopened in 2016 after a closure in 2008. Timberland had sold boots, shoes, clothing, and accessories in the space before TravisMathew takes over.
