Cambridge Satchel is set to open a new store at the Victoria Leeds shopping centre next month, marking its regional debut and the brand’s third boutique. The store will span 881 square feet in the historic Victoria Quarter, following the brand’s successful openings in Covent Garden and Cambridge. The mall operator sees this new addition as a significant step in strengthening Victoria Leeds’ status as the leading premium shopping destination outside London.
The new store will offer a variety of products for both men and women, including crossbody bags, satchels, handbags, tote bags, backpacks, briefcases, and trunks. Customers will also be able to personalise their items in-store.
This opening aligns with Victoria Quarter’s reputation for high-end British brands, joining notable retailers such as Vivienne Westwood, Barbour, Harvey Nichols, and Penhaligon’s.
In addition, Boodles, the family-owned jeweller, has recently expanded its presence in Victoria Leeds, investing in a new entertainment room, The Rose Garden Suite, and more than doubling its retail space.
Cambridge Satchel, which opened its Covent Garden store just over a year ago, also unveiled a refreshed branding, including a new logo and a bold color palette featuring a striking hot orange. The brand’s updated look reflects both its premium quality and its British heritage.
This move comes just over a year after Cambridge Satchel was acquired by Chargeurs, a French company, and the departure of founder Julie Deane. Along with the rebranding, the company introduced a new tagline: “The Cutting Edge of British Tradition.”
