British footwear and accessories brand Dr. Martens has partnered with contemporary fashion label MM6 Maison Margiela to launch a new capsule collection. This collaboration, marking the first between the two brands, blends Dr. Martens’ iconic designs with MM6’s modern style, creating a unique hybrid collection. The partnership reinterprets four classic Dr. Martens styles, transforming them into three new silhouettes with an MM6 twist. The collection was unveiled during MM6 Maison Margiela’s AW24 runway show.
Among the standout pieces is the 1460 / 1461 Boot, which combines Dr. Martens’ Original 1460 8-eye boot with the 1461 3-eye shoe. The design merges oxblood Vintage Smooth leather with soft black Virginia leather, offering a fresh take on two signature Dr. Martens styles.
Another highlight is the 1490 / 1461 Boot, an extra-tall 1490 10-eye boot that has been reworked with a bump toe version of the 1461 shoe. The 1461 / Penton Shoe completes the collection, blending the classic 1461 shoe with the Penton loafer style, finished in black Vintage Smooth leather with a touch of oxblood.
Each piece features Dr. Martens’ signature details, including the iconic AirWair heel loop, classic DMS soles, and yellow welt stitching. MM6 Maison Margiela adds its own touch with debossed numeric artwork.
The Dr. Martens x MM6 Maison Margiela collection will be available starting November 19, both on the brands’ websites, in select MM6 Maison Margiela stores, and at limited multi-brand retailers worldwide.
