Uniqlo has teamed up once again with designer Anya Hindmarch for a Winter 2024 collection titled “An Eye for Curiosity,” inspired by Hindmarch’s signature cartoon eye motif. The collaboration blends Hindmarch’s craftsmanship with Uniqlo’s functional designs, offering a mix of playful and practical pieces.
The collection includes a variety of knits and outerwear. Hindmarch explained that she reimagined Uniqlo’s classic silhouettes, deconstructing them and rebuilding them with creative touches like darning stitches, knitted patches, and other unexpected details. “It’s all about creating special designs with a hint of fun,” she said.
The outerwear features next-generation Puffertech padding, which promises warmth and lightness, and is designed with small pockets on the sleeves for added functionality.
In a first for Uniqlo, the collection includes Merino wool sweaters for children. These are not only easy to clean but also include a playful feature: a thumbhole on the right sleeve with mouth-inspired stitching, along with an embroidered eye motif on the chest.
Additional knitwear options include “handmade-style” cashmere sweaters with darning stitch and knitted patches, Merino wool sweaters with embroidered details, and 100% cashmere knit accessories such as beanies, arm warmers, mittens, scarves, and socks, all featuring the eye motif. Many of the items also incorporate Uniqlo’s HeatTech material for added warmth.
Prices for the collection start at £5.90 for socks, with some items reaching nearly £110. The full range will be available at selected Uniqlo stores in the UK starting 21 November, with some items also sold at all British locations.
