On October 17, the Seventh Annual Trans Media Fashion Show took place at the FashionBar headquarters, located on the third level of Water Tower Place at 835 Michigan Ave. The event was organized by FashionBar CEO Tony Long in collaboration with the Vernita Gray Council for Philanthropy. Zahara Bassett served as the emcee, while DJ Areana provided the musical entertainment for the sold-out crowd.
This year’s fashion show was part of Fashion Week, which ran until October 20. Proceeds from the event went to Howard Brown Health and its Broadway Youth Center, supporting vital services for the community.
FashionBar acts as an arts incubator, offering a range of services in the fashion design industry on local, national, and global levels. The organization specializes in fashion business consulting, custom garment design, and the development of pattern fashion collections.
