Tyla, the Grammy-winning singer, is set to showcase her talents on the runway as one of the musical headliners for Victoria’s Secret’s returning fashion show. As first reported by Rolling Stone on Wednesday (Sept. 18), the lingerie brand’s highly anticipated event will feature an all-female lineup, with additional surprises teased on social media.
At 22, Tyla will share the stage with iconic figures like Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid, and Paloma Elsesser, all of whom will model Victoria’s Secret designs along with custom looks created specifically for the event.
Victoria’s Secret highlighted Tyla’s “vibrant personality” and her “innovative take on pop and R&B” as key reasons she was selected to perform.
In a statement, Tyla reflected on her excitement, saying, “Growing up, I was captivated by the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – the stunning outfits, iconic wings, and charismatic models. Now, I’m thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage. What’s even more exciting is the celebration of diversity, showcasing a broader range of beauty, which makes this moment truly special.”
The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is officially set to return on Oct. 15, marking its comeback after being canceled in 2019. Cher has also been named as one of the musical headliners, adding star power to this year’s event.
In an Instagram announcement, the company acknowledged the demand for the show’s return. “We’ve read the comments and heard you,” the post read. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is BACK and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more! Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here.”
