Global fashion and retail leader Apparel Group has announced a partnership with British clothing and outerwear brand Barbour, aiming to expand the iconic brand’s presence across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The first Barbour store in this collaboration is set to open in Dubai by spring 2025.

In a LinkedIn post, Apparel Group expressed excitement about the exclusive partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to announce our exclusive partnership with British heritage and lifestyle brand Barbour. The partnership aims to grow Barbour’s footprint in the GCC, with the first store scheduled to open in Dubai by Spring 2025, bringing the iconic brand closer to our customers.”

Beyond Dubai, Barbour plans to expand into all six GCC countries: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar. Additionally, the brand will introduce a new collection tailored for the region called the ’52 Weeks All-Summer Collection,’ featuring many of its classic designs and best-selling items.

Barbour’s managing director of global distributors, Neil Parker, expressed confidence in the partnership. “We are excited to collaborate with Apparel Group as our exclusive distributor partner,” Parker stated, as reported by Apparel Resources. “Their extensive experience and knowledge of the region will be essential as we prepare to open our first store in Dubai. This expansion into the Middle East aligns with Barbour’s global growth strategy, and we are eager to offer customers in the region a timeless wardrobe inspired by our British heritage.”

The partnership marks a strategic move for Barbour, reflecting its focus on international growth while adapting to the unique demands of the Middle Eastern market.
