Michelle Obama made a bold fashion statement on the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The former first lady, a key speaker at the event, showcased a striking outfit featuring a tailored sleeveless jacket with a crisscross design and matching trousers.

Her outfit came from Monse’s Resort 2025 collection. To complete her look, Obama chose Jimmy Choo’s Scarlett pumps and accessorized with jewelry by David Yurman.

Monse, a luxury fashion brand established in 2015, was co-founded by Garcia and Laura Kim, who also serve as co-creative directors at Oscar de la Renta. During her time as first lady, Obama frequently wore Oscar de la Renta, including at the 2016 luncheon for Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday. More recently, she donned the brand at the 2023 U.S. Open.
