Scottsdale Fashion Week (SFW) is preparing for its upcoming event from September 26 to 29 by holding casting calls for local talent. Two audition dates have been set: August 17 and August 24. The auditions are open to individuals aged 18 and older, both male and female. Prospective models can audition through the Ford/Robert Black Agency for a $35 fee. The first casting call will take place on Saturday, August 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Backyard Desert Ridge, 21001 N. Tatum Boulevard #14, Phoenix. The second will be held on Saturday, August 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Casa Amigos, 7320 E. Indian Plaza, Scottsdale.
Steve LeVine Entertainment and Public Relations, along with the Ford/Robert Black Agency, will present SFW. The event will feature runway shows and debut collections from both national and local designers. Each of the four nights will be held at different venues, offering a unique experience for attendees.
Sheree Hartwell, owner of the Ford/Robert Black Agency, emphasized that SFW will offer more than just a fashion show. “We’re creating a full night out experience with fashion, music, art, and entertainment. It’s going to be more than just watching a fashion show,” Hartwell said.
Hartwell also highlighted the casting call as an excellent opportunity for aspiring models. “This is a fantastic chance for people to showcase their talents and possibly be selected for the shows,” Hartwell noted. She mentioned that a model from last year’s casting call walked in all the shows, demonstrating the potential career benefits.
This year’s casting calls will feature a panel of industry professionals, including local celebrities, influencers, and experts in beauty, fashion, and wellness. “We’re bringing in about five to seven influential people to help with the selections,” Hartwell explained.
Hartwell expressed excitement about discovering new talent through these casting calls and the opportunities they will bring. “We’re always on the lookout for fresh talent, and this is a great way to combine Scottsdale Fashion Week with finding the next star,” she said.
