A Springfield-born fashion designer is using his craft to unite and uplift the community. Darius Rosario, founder and owner of Sensitive Creatures, hosted a pop-up event on Sunday, spreading positivity through love and art while encouraging visitors to chase their dreams.
Rosario, who has turned his personal journey into artistic expression, describes his work as therapeutic. “I take inspiration from society, what others are going through, and my own experiences. I channel that into art—it’s like therapy for me,” he shared.
Sensitive Creatures, Rosario’s brand, promotes mental health awareness and encourages wearers to be bold. What began as a small project making a few shirts has grown significantly, with celebrities like Big Sean now sporting his designs.
Family and friends praise Rosario’s impact on the community, highlighting his ability to inspire others. “He inspires people. When one person succeeds, others follow. This is especially important in a place like Springfield, where violence and crime are prevalent, particularly among the younger generation. Seeing him succeed shows them that they can too,” said Exavier Navado, a close friend.
Looking ahead, Rosario plans to host a pop-up at The Big E next year. Those interested in learning more about his work can visit his website.
