Fashion Designers from Latin America Celebrate 15 Years of Elevating Latin American Designers

Fashion Designers of Latin America (FDLA) has unveiled its lineup for the upcoming SS/2025 season at New York Fashion Week, marking its 15th anniversary with a series of events across various prestigious venues in New York City.

FDLA, under the leadership of Albania Rosario, will showcase emerging talents and established designers, celebrating Latin American fashion. The festivities begin on September 9th at the renowned United Palace Theater with an exclusive press event and a tribute to international guest Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. The evening will feature runway shows by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Pedro Juan Ramirez from Colombia, and Giannina Azar from the Dominican Republic.

On September 10th, FDLA will host a private event with celebrity artist DIDI, followed by the collective showcase on September 11th at Lavan 641NYC. This event will highlight emerging brands and designers such as Angie Polanco & Albania Rosario (Dominican Republic), Calala (Nicaragua), and Valentina Menashe (Colombia), among others.

Albania Rosario expressed pride in FDLA’s journey and invited fashion enthusiasts to join the celebration, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to fostering opportunities for Latino designers in the competitive fashion industry.

Jose Forteza, Senior Editor of Vogue Mexico & Latin America, commended FDLA’s support for Latino creatives and looked forward to celebrating their achievements in September.

Mike Fitelson, CEO of United Palace, expressed delight in hosting FDLA’s milestone anniversary, describing it as a blend of beauty, style, and inspiration.

The 15th anniversary of FDLA promises to be a vibrant celebration of multicultural fashion, diversity, and inclusion, showcasing the richness of Latin American creativity on a global stage at New York Fashion Week.
