Giambattista Valli was honored with the 2025 Industry Impact Award at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, recognizing his substantial contributions to the bridal industry. The prestigious award was presented on Saturday evening during the closing gala of the five-day event, celebrating a brand that has “redefined industry standards, inspired innovation, and set benchmarks in creativity, leadership, and transformative impact,” according to the event organizers.
The 21-member jury, made up of journalists, wedding planners, stylists, and other industry professionals, selected the winners from a pool of nominees. The award marks the third edition of the Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards.
Model Estelle Girard accepted the award on behalf of Valli, who expressed his gratitude through a pre-recorded video. Other nominees in the category included American designer Justin Alexander and Spanish brand Marco & Maria.
Valli, known for his haute couture style, made waves at the 2024 edition of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week with a show-stopping wedding bodysuit, offering a fresh take on bridal fashion. The Rome-born, Paris-based designer approaches wedding dresses as “detached from fashion,” seeing them as timeless pieces that are “impervious to trends” and “suspended in a dreamy moment.”
Valli has dressed many high-profile brides, including Amal Clooney, Charlotte Casiraghi, Jessica Biel, Tatiana de Pahlen, Selby Drummond, and Noor Fares.
At the Barcelona fair, Valli also debuted his latest bridal capsule, “The Love Collection No. 4,” which will be available to order at a series of upcoming trunk shows. The collection features 12 dresses, each named after a month, showcasing a variety of luxurious textures like beaded lace, macramé, silk cloqué, and tulle embroidered with organza flowers. Notable design details include swooping, low-cut backs, delicate capelets, and off-the-shoulder necklines.
