Renowned fashion designer Shaldon Kopman is once again poised to make a lasting impression on the fashion world as he unveils his newest collection, Urban Camo, at the upcoming South African Fashion Week (SAFW).
Scheduled to take place from April 24 to 26, the Spring/Summer 2025 showcase will be hosted at The Forum in Hyde Park, Johannesburg.
Building on the success of his previous collection, Afro Monks, Kopman’s latest work offers a powerful reflection on the principles of slow fashion. It reaffirms the core values and storytelling approach that define his brand, Naked Ape.
Founded in 2005, Naked Ape has remained steadfast in promoting authentic African luxury through a fusion of heritage, sustainability, and meticulous craftsmanship.
With Urban Camo, Kopman takes this vision even further. The collection challenges the excesses of fast fashion and presents garments that are not only sustainable but also deeply meaningful—crafted with a reverence for nature and a conscious design philosophy.
