Yuki Tsunoda is preparing for an eventful week both on and off the track. The Japanese driver, who is set to replace Liam Lawson at Red Bull as Formula 1 heads to his home country this weekend, is also launching his streetwear brand, Venti Due. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase the collection online or at a pop-up store in Suzuka City.
The debut collection includes hoodies, crew necks, oversized jerseys, balloon pants, a canvas tote bag, and a beanie. The brand motif prominently features the number 22, a maple leaf, and the slogan, ‘fast on track, effortless in style.’ Sharp-eyed fans have even noticed a subtle ‘Y’ and ‘T’ incorporated into the leaf design. Japanese artist Jinya Yamakawa, known for his helmet collaborations with the 24-year-old driver, is part of the creative team behind Venti Due. The brand name, which translates to ‘22’ in Italian, was originally set to launch on March 31, though the website’s exact go-live date remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, Tsunoda is gearing up for his highly anticipated Red Bull debut. After spending four seasons with the energy drink giant’s junior team, he is finally getting the chance to race alongside four-time world champion Max Verstappen. Though initially overlooked for the second seat in the 2025 season, Tsunoda has now been granted the opportunity following Lawson’s underwhelming performances, which led to his early-season dismissal just three races into the campaign.
This season has also marked Tsunoda’s first experience in a team leader role, as he was paired with 20-year-old rookie Isack Hadjar for the races in Australia and China. As the clear lead driver, Tsunoda delivered commendable performances, finishing 16th in China and 12th in Australia, accumulating three championship points—compared to Lawson’s zero. These performances have seemingly caught the attention of Red Bull’s decision-makers, leading to his swift promotion. However, the highly scrutinized second Red Bull seat has been known to be a challenging position. Only time will tell if Tsunoda can solidify his place and avoid the fate of past drivers who struggled to maintain their standing within the team.
