2tall, the pioneering clothing brand for tall men, is set for major international expansion following its strategic partnership with shipping software provider Shipster.
The Aberdeen-based eCommerce retailer has invested in cutting-edge technology to digitize its warehouse management and shipping processes, ensuring faster, error-free, and cost-effective order fulfillment.
At the heart of this transformation is Shipster, a custom shipping integration platform that seamlessly connects online retailers and warehouses with over 100 couriers, warehouse management systems, and sales platforms like Shopify.
With this new system in place, 2tall has fully automated its pick-to-ship process, significantly increasing efficiency and profitability while creating operational flexibility for growth.
The results were immediate—during Black Friday 2024, the company processed and dispatched more than double the number of orders compared to its previous system.
J.J. Warwick, managing director of 2tall, highlighted the impact of the partnership:
“We’ve always seen ourselves as a solution to a problem that tall men face. Our goal has always been to make life easier for guys who have been overlooked by traditional retailers and even big-and-tall stores, which tend to focus more on ‘big’ rather than ‘tall and slim’ customers.
“As we expanded, managing fulfillment and shipping became a major challenge. Partnering with Shipster has been transformative. It allows us to focus on what we do best—creating exceptional clothing—while they handle the complex logistics.”
Since its launch in 2013, 2tall has disrupted the fashion industry by addressing a critical issue for tall men—providing stylish, high-quality, well-fitting clothing. The brand has gained endorsements from ex-footballer Peter Crouch, former British basketball player Kieron Achara, and Commonwealth beach volleyball player Chris Gregory.
However, as demand grew internationally, the company’s logistics system struggled to keep pace, leading to inefficiencies, rising costs, and shipping errors. Recognizing the need for an overhaul, Warwick and co-founder Andrew Burr turned to Shipster to modernize their fulfillment operations.
The implementation of a new technology stack has dramatically reduced dispatch times, enabling the company to handle a larger volume of orders with unprecedented speed and accuracy.
By replacing manual processes with barcode scanning and automated shipping rules, 2tall has minimized human intervention and errors, ensuring customers receive the correct orders every time.
Shipster’s intelligent shipping algorithms allow 2tall to automatically select the most cost-effective carriers based on weight, destination, and parcel type. This has led to significant savings on shipping costs and minimized expensive reshipping due to errors.
Additionally, automated shipping rules enable any staff member to dispatch an order without needing prior knowledge of shipping services.
Shipster’s flexible licensing model also allows 2tall to scale up or down by adding or removing courier services based on seasonal demand, a key advantage for growing retailers.
Tony Cheetham, founder and managing director of Shipster, emphasized how technology is revolutionizing retail operations:
“2tall is a perfect example of a company’s mission in action. Retailers today need solutions that are efficient, scalable, and adaptable. We’re proud to support 2tall as they redefine what it means to shop for tall men’s fashion. Their success is proof of how technology can drive business growth in an increasingly competitive global marketplace.”
With this new logistics infrastructure in place, 2tall is poised for further global success, delivering high-quality fashion to tall men with greater speed and efficiency than ever before.
