At just 18, Kiyan Anthony, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, is making waves in both fashion and business. His streetwear brand, One Way Clothing, is set to drop a new collection, “1617”, on March 29, 2025. This latest release continues his journey as a young entrepreneur, blending style with a deeper personal connection.
Kiyan and his business partner, Jadyn, announced the 1617 collection through a social media campaign, captioned: “MARCH 29 & THE HARDEST SWEATSUITS ARE BACK AND BETTER – PREORDER (3-5 WEEK SHIPPING) – FIRST 5 ORDERS FULLY REFUNDED.” The collection features sweatsuits in vibrant colors, including Violetta, Michigan, Chrome Frost, Steel Cloud, Aqua Blaze, Crimson Kiss, and Coca.
The name “1617” is a tribute to their early start—the ages 16 and 17 when they founded One Way Clothing. What began as a passion project during their teenage years has now grown into a six-figure streetwear brand based in Harlem. One Way Clothing specializes in hoodies, joggers, and T-shirts, offering trendy, high-quality pieces for streetwear enthusiasts.
Kiyan’s father, Carmelo Anthony, expressed his pride in his son’s ambition, stating: “I’m proud of him that he took it upon himself to set a little business up for himself and not wait for me or his mom to set it up.” The 10-time NBA All-Star sees his son’s journey as a step-by-step process of building something real.
Kiyan himself reflected on his brand’s origin during a September 2024 episode of Overtime’s The Evolution, sharing: “We was always into fashion. So we was like, ‘Why don’t we just try a clothing brand, and we just did it.’”
Their dedication has paid off, and One Way Clothing is now an emerging force in streetwear. With plans for a physical store in the works, Kiyan is also looking to bring influencers like Lil Baby and Drake on board to elevate the brand’s reach.
Meanwhile, Kiyan’s basketball career is also taking off. A four-star shooting guard, he has committed to Syracuse University, following in his father’s footsteps. This April, he will showcase his skills at the Jordan Brand Classic and the Chipotle Nationals with Long Island Lutheran High School.
With both his basketball career and fashion empire on the rise, Kiyan Anthony is proving he’s not just a player on the court—he’s a creator with a vision.
