Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee made a remarkable impression at the Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI, held in Mumbai on Thursday.
The Khakee: The Bengal Chapter star captivated the audience as he walked the ramp in a classic black Bengali Kochano Dhoti, exuding elegance and charisma. His traditional look and confident presence made him one of the standout figures at the event.
Prosenjit was the showstopper for fashion designer Roy Abhisek, whose brand Roy Calcutta showcased exquisite, finely crafted designs. The actor praised Abhisek’s innovative approach to fashion, congratulating him on his success.
Sharing his experience on Instagram, Prosenjit posted a video of his ramp walk, writing, “Cheers to @rabhisek @roy_calcutta_official for setting the stage on fire at Lakme Fashion Week! Proud of your journey, your creativity, and the way you’re taking Bengal a step further on the national stage. Keep shining!”
Apart from his fashion presence, Prosenjit has been making waves in the entertainment industry. He was recently seen in Neeraj Pandey’s series, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, where he portrayed a clever politician.
In an earlier press conference, Prosenjit shared insights into his work ethic, revealing that he “never talks about money” before signing a project. He explained, “If I read through a character and it doesn’t let me sleep, I call the director and ask, ‘Date kab ka chaahiye?’”
He further added, “I never discuss money. My producer friends sitting here can vouch for it.” The veteran actor, who has been a key figure in Bengali cinema for over four decades, expressed that his role in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter was a challenging one, prompting him to immediately call the show’s creator, Neeraj Pandey, to secure his participation.
Directed by Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray, the series is a follow-up to Pandey’s 2022 hit Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. Set in early 2000s Kolkata, it follows the journey of an IPS officer navigating crime, corruption, and political power in the city.
