The Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of the city, set the perfect stage for Dior’s Women’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. This iconic Parisian location offered a serene backdrop for a fashion show, particularly one from the renowned French Maison, Dior. As one of the first brands to open Paris Fashion Week this season, Maria Grazia Chiuri presented a collection that took a transformative journey through Dior’s rich history, drawing inspiration from the House’s iconic codes.
Dior’s legacy, from Christian Dior to John Galliano and Gianfranco Ferré, has been marked by numerous defining moments in fashion. For the Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Chiuri focused on the enduring power of a simple white shirt and explored its significance in challenging gender stereotypes. The runway presentation reflected a dynamic environment, with unexpected elements like an iceberg and a prehistoric bird appearing, alongside a constantly shifting lighting design that alternated between light and darkness.
Chiuri, who has spent nine years at Dior, continues to explore the theme of femininity in her designs. The collection further underscores how fashion can empower women, influencing both their appearance and how they feel about themselves. The runway showcased an array of looks, including dresses and skirts adorned with baroque pearls and black velvet ribbons, as well as technical jackets featuring intricate appliqué embroidery.
The show attracted an exclusive group of guests, including Ameera Khan, Cristin Milioti, Elle Macpherson, Heart Evangelista, Jisoo, Lily James, Liu Yuxin, Mingyu Kim, Natalie Portman, Pia Wurtzbach, Sirilak Kwong, and Tems.
