SINZONE, a brand known for its concept of “high-quality casual wear that pairs perfectly with denim,” has recently announced the launch of a new educational program titled “Woman’s Fashion Education.” As the initial step of this initiative, in cooperation with Aiko Girls’ Gakuen, a girls’ juvenile detention center located in Komae City, Tokyo, a unique collection featuring crochet lace crafted by the center’s students is now available for purchase.
This collaborative effort serves a dual purpose. Firstly, SINZONE aims to increase public awareness regarding violence, rights, and behavior towards women. By highlighting these crucial issues through the medium of fashion, the brand hopes to spark conversations and drive positive change. Secondly, the project is designed to support the rehabilitation of the girls at Aiko Girls’ Gakuen.
Aiko Girls’ Academy includes lace knitting in its vocational guidance classes. The newly released collection incorporates motifs that were meticulously hand-finished by the students. This not only showcases the students’ craftsmanship but also provides them with a sense of accomplishment and a platform to express their creativity. As the collection hits the market, it is expected to draw attention to the important work being done in the area of womens rights and the rehabilitation of young girls.’
