Local actress and host Nurul Aini has launched her own fashion label, Solulu Closet, catering specifically to tall women. The debut collection, released on February 28, sold out within 70 minutes.
The 42-year-old, who stands at 1.72m, shared on Solulu’s website that the brand was created to provide stylish yet modest options for taller women.
“I started this clothing line because I got tired of choosing between ‘modest’ and ‘fits properly’—why not both?” she wrote. “Here, you’ll find stylish, modest pieces that celebrate your height without compromising on comfort or confidence.”
Her husband, real estate agent Sofian Roslan, celebrated the milestone by sharing a behind-the-scenes video of the launch on Instagram.
“The passion and dedication she’s poured into starting her own clothing line—the countless hours, the effort, and the challenges she’s overcome to make this a reality. And today is finally the day,” wrote Sofian, also 42.
“I couldn’t be prouder of you for making this happen all on your own. As you would have done for me, you have my fullest support in everything you do.”
In the video, recorded 10 minutes before the online launch, Nurul expressed her nervousness and excitement, admitting she was worried about the response.
“What if there are only two check-outs?” wondered the actress, known for her role in the local action drama Third Rail (2022).
However, her concerns quickly vanished as the first order arrived precisely at noon, and by 1:10 PM, every item had sold out.
An emotional Nurul, seen hugging her husband in the video, expressed her gratitude:
“I’m so grateful and I want to say ‘thank you’ to everyone,” she said. “I’m so passionate about this, and I’m beyond happy to receive such an amazing response. Thank you.”
On March 3, Solulu Closet announced via social media that restocks are on the way, along with a new item set to launch on March 4.
