Park City Fashion Week is making its highly anticipated return to Main Street with a focus on local talent and couture fashion on Sunday, January 26.
Organized by founder Kim Kienow, the event will feature a diverse range of couture designs, local boutique collections, and emerging talent. Held at Marquee on Main, it coincides with the opening weekend of the Sundance Film Festival.
“We wanted to bring the runway to the Rockies,” said Kienow, who founded Park City Fashion Week in 2020. “This year, we’re thrilled to include some of Park City’s unique boutiques, such as Chamomile, Panache, The Collective, and We Norwegians, alongside our custom couture designers.”
For the first time, the event will feature boutique capsule collections styled as editorial showcases. “We want attendees to experience the artistry while also offering the chance to shop locally,” Kienow explained. The inclusion of local boutiques reflects Kienow’s goal to enhance Park City’s creative scene during the busy festival season.
Park City Fashion Week will run from 1 to 5 p.m., starting with a mix-and-mingle session complete with live music and cocktails, followed by the runway show at 2 p.m. Afterward, attendees will have the opportunity to shop the collections featured in the event.
Despite the challenges of hosting during the festival’s high-profile week, Kienow expressed her excitement: “Competing for venues during the festival is intense, but it’s part of what makes this event unique. We’re showcasing Utah’s fashion scene on a larger stage.”
Although this year’s event is a one-day affair, Kienow hinted at plans to expand Park City Fashion Week into a multi-day event in the future. For now, all eyes are on Sunday’s show, where artistry and innovation will take center stage.
