Milan Fashion Week’s fifth day showcased captivating collections for Spring/Summer 2025, with Bottega Veneta and Diesel leading the way. Both brands displayed remarkable creativity and skill, celebrating the essence of Made in Italy.
Diesel made a bold statement, transforming a large hangar into a striking space filled with 14,800 kilos of fabric scraps. This installation not only served as a backdrop but also emphasized the brand’s commitment to sustainability. Models walked on a sea of blue fabric, resembling a new world. The collection featured rugged designs, including garments crafted from recycled materials, showcasing a blend of innovation and sophistication.
Creative director Glenn Martens, who recently left Y/Project, focused on denim’s versatility, producing unique pieces such as denim mini-shorts that transition into skirts. The collection also included striking leather items and PVC prints, blurring the lines between materials.
Bottega Veneta closed the day with a playful collection inspired by childhood. The showroom was filled with poufs shaped like friendly animals, reminiscent of a whimsical landscape. Creative director Matthieu Blazy drew inspiration from the film E.T., crafting a wardrobe that feels both nostalgic and adventurous.
The collection featured comfortable yet stylish clothing for everyday life, from oversized jackets to creatively tailored trousers. Blazy emphasized proportions, allowing garments to float gracefully. The playful designs incorporated elements like metallic bunny ears and whimsical brooches, creating a joyful atmosphere.
Overall, both Diesel and Bottega Veneta delivered standout presentations, pushing boundaries and redefining modern fashion.
