Just days after announcing the acquisition of Bureau Béatrice, The Independents, a leading global communications group specializing in luxury, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands, has bolstered its portfolio with the acquisition of Kitten Production.
Kitten Production, founded in 2015 by Jonathan Boyer and Romain Blanquet-Ferrero, is a creative agency focused on producing image, video, and digital content for luxury and fashion brands. The agency, with offices in Paris, Barcelona, and Milan, collaborates with high-profile clients like Louis Vuitton, Jacquemus, and Saint Laurent.
“Kitten Production’s expertise offers a significant advantage for our group. We aim to use our global platform to help expand their presence in new markets,” said Isabelle Chouvet, CEO of The Independents, hinting at plans to launch Kitten Production in New York and Tokyo. Chouvet did not disclose the financial details of the acquisition.
In recent months, The Independents, which includes Atelier Athem, Bureau Betak, CTZAR, Karla Otto, and others, has strengthened its creative offerings through a series of strategic acquisitions. This growth was made possible by a $400 million (€360 million) funding round in June 2023 from FL Entertainment (Banijay) and TowerBrook Capital Partners.
The acquisition marks another step in The Independents’ ambitious expansion strategy in the luxury sector.
