The upcoming release of the Supreme x Nike Clogposite is generating significant buzz. Set to launch on September 5, 2024, in the USA and September 7 in Asia, these shoes will be available online at supreme.com and in flagship stores worldwide.
The Supreme x Nike Clogposite represents one of the most unconventional sneaker releases of the year. Designed in collaboration with Drudi Performance, these clogs feature bold Y2K colorways, which have sparked both interest and confusion. The design echoes the Nike Flightposite (1999) but without the ankle collar.
Originally released in the early 2000s as a clog/sneaker hybrid, the Clogposite was reintroduced in 2014 as the Solo Slide. Despite this, it struggled to make a commercial impact. The current iteration is not selling quickly, with many sizes of the ‘Chrome’ colorway still available at retailers like Up There and INCU.
Nike’s timing with the Clogposite may be off, as the Muleboyz trend peaked during the pandemic. However, the Supreme collaboration could give the Clogposite a competitive edge against upcoming releases like the New Balance 2002R mule. This collaboration features racing-inspired colorways in Black, Yellow, Blue, and a graphic-laden Red, Green, and White option designed by Drudi Performance.
Online reactions to the Supreme x Nike Clogposite have been polarized. While some appreciate the design, others have criticized it with comments like “Look like Raybans for your feet” and “Water park ahh shoes.”
