Copenhagen may not always be recognized as a top fashion hub, especially since its fashion week occurs a month before the major events in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. However, overlooking this Scandinavian city means missing out on some of the most exciting developments in fashion.

The spring/summer 2025 season of Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW), which began on August 5, highlights the city’s role in nurturing new talent. This year’s One to Watch program is featuring several new brands, including Icelandic designer Sól Hansdóttir from London, knitwear brand Stem by Sarah Brunnhuber, and the label Bonnetje by Anna Myntekær and Yoko Maja Hansen. Established names are also making a return, such as Catherine Saks and Barbara Potts of Saks Potts, who are celebrating their brand’s tenth anniversary with a special dinner. Additionally, Mfpen is marking its milestone with the opening of its first physical store on August 7, accompanied by a block party.

The week promises a busy schedule filled with runway shows, presentations, and social events. Attendees are already showcasing striking fashion choices, often incorporating bright colors and unusual textiles. Key trends include statement bags and all-white outfits that contrast with vibrant ensembles. The popular office siren trend remains strong, with many opting for tailored trousers, crisp button-down shirts, and oversized blazers.
