Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), organized by D3 and the Arab Fashion Council, has announced that Roberto Cavalli, the renowned Italian luxury label, will be the guest of honor for its spring/summer 2025 showcase in September.
Roberto Cavalli, under the creative direction of Fausto Puglisi, will close the event with an exclusive collection, marking its debut in the Middle East fashion scene. Previous guest designers at DFW have included names like Carolina Herrera by Wes Gordon, Iris van Herpen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Antonio Marras, Blumarine, and Moschino.
Khadija Al Bastaki, senior vice president of Dubai Design District (D3), part of TECOM Group, highlighted the growing stature of Dubai Fashion Week, emphasizing Dubai’s emergence as a global fashion hub. She stated, “Roberto Cavalli’s Middle East runway debut sends a powerful message: Dubai is shaping the future of fashion on a global scale.”
Fausto Puglisi, creative director at Roberto Cavalli, expressed his honor at participating in Dubai Fashion Week, noting Dubai’s significance as one of their key Middle Eastern markets. He added, “Our SS25 collection, specially curated for this event, reflects the luxurious essence of both Dubai and Roberto Cavalli.”
DFW’s SS25 lineup will feature over 30 designers from various countries including France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Palestine, Russia, the UAE, and the UK. The event will span from September 1 to 7 at Dubai Design District (D3), alongside a citywide calendar featuring 40 exclusive presentations, private dinners, and collection launches.
The event will commence with haute couture collections for the first three days, followed by ready-to-wear collections from designers like Alia Bastamam, April & Alex, Benang Jarum, BLSSD, Lama Jouni, Mrs. Keepa, Dima Ayad, Born in Exile, Buttonscarves, Choice, Heaven Lights, Riva, Viva Vox, and Weinsanto, supported by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. The final day will focus on private appointments and a buyers’ market.
