Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) Fall 2025 proved to be more than a fashion event—it was a celebration of bold creativity and personal storytelling. Over six style-filled days, the runway came alive with exaggerated silhouettes, unexpected layering, and daringly original dresses, reinforcing Vancouver’s place as a leading fashion destination in Canada.
From April 8 to 13, David Lam Hall served as the epicenter of this dynamic fashion moment, as VFW hosted 40 designers unveiling their Fall 2025 collections. Held twice a year, the event welcomed an eclectic mix of talent—from promising newcomers to established designers—each presenting pieces that offered a glimpse into their artistic world.
Among the standout presentations was Reihani Design by Afsaneh Reihanifard. Her collection translated her fashion illustrations into garments that paid homage to her Iranian roots, blending heritage with high fashion. Isabella Lianos, the designer behind Lianos, explored the theme of duality—balancing harmony with contrast through a thoughtful and visually compelling series of looks.
One of the most striking moments came from Astrophe Apparel, led by a self-taught 18-year-old designer. The “04-A” collection stood out with its emotionally charged reflection on war, merging sharp design with social commentary in a powerful debut.
Looking ahead, the future of fashion is clearly in capable hands. The student showcases from LaSalle College delivered fresh innovation and fearless storytelling. With their experimental designs and emotionally rich concepts, these young creatives proved they’re not just emerging—they’re ready to lead.
