Markarian, Over The Moon, and Ruchi Host Elegant Soirée at Manolo Blahnik’s Boutique

Bridal fashion was the talk of the town this week at Manolo Blahnik’s boutique on Madison Avenue, as Markarian, Over The Moon, and Ruchi New York joined forces for an elegant cocktail event celebrating Bridal Fashion Week in New York City.

The evening marked the fourth collaboration between Over The Moon founder and Vogue.com contributor Alexandra Macon and Markarian designer Alexandra O’Neill. Their creative partnership began during Macon’s editorial days, rooted in a shared love for classic romance and fairytale aesthetics. Together, they’ve crafted capsule collections that exude timeless elegance. The latest—a series of four made-to-order dresses in a delicate pink floral Ikat print—had just launched on Over The Moon as guests raised their Champagne glasses in celebration.

Fittingly, Macon wore a tiered white lace gown by Markarian, paired with soft blue satin Manolo Blahnik heels adorned with crystal details—her own take on “something blue.” Her sister, Anna Mack Pardee, and their mother Angela also wore Markarian dresses, with Angela donning the same gown she famously wore to Anna’s wedding three years prior, adding a heartfelt nod to tradition and continuity.

As attendees admired the latest bridal shoe designs, they were treated to a custom scrunchie bar featuring hair ties crafted from Markarian fabrics. Many paused to congratulate O’Neill on her newly revealed Spring/Summer 2026 bridal collection, which had debuted earlier that day in her Flatiron studio. Staying true to the collaboration, the collection’s lookbook showcased models styled in Manolo Blahniks.

Those drawn to Manolo’s signature footwear had the chance to personalize their purchases on-site, thanks to a customization station by Lefty’s Right Mind. Guests could add bespoke monograms to their soles—perfect for brides wanting to add a unique touch to their wedding-day shoes.

Ruchi Kotahwala, founder of Ruchi New York, also held court in the boutique, showcasing her line of conflict-free gold and natural diamond jewelry. Guests eagerly slipped on rings and earrings for selfies and spontaneous try-ons. O’Neill noted the brand’s prestige, recalling how Dr. Jill Biden wore Ruchi jewelry at the 2021 Presidential Inauguration. “It’s all connected,” she smiled.

Throughout the evening, wedding industry insiders—stylists, planners, editors, photographers, and engaged influencers—filtered in and out of the boutique between fashion week appointments. They were greeted with canapés, cocktails, and camaraderie. The Blahnik Bar offered a themed drink menu, including Manolo Margaritas, Markarian Martinis, Over The Moon Old Fashioneds, and Ruchi Royales. To soothe weary eyes from runway fatigue, guests could stop by the Biologique Recherche station for refreshing hydrating eye masks.

Surveying the lively room, Macon reflected on the evolution of bridal fashion. “People used to think I was so basic for being interested in weddings,” she said with a laugh. But as the evening clearly proved, that “basic” interest has transformed into one of fashion’s most vibrant, joyful, and influential spaces.
